While looking for other photos on my camera, I found some three weeks old photos from back when I was bored and had two hours of waiting to kill. So here is a random boring tour around Norrköping, one of the twin cities I call home towns, and this one is my childhood one to boot.

Beware! Boring city photos under the cut. And lots of 'em. )

This last week in pictures. Not because it was anything special really, but because I wanted to. OK, so the weather was nice, if that's an excuse for the photo spamming. Image heavy behind the cut, obviously.

Random photo walk, mostly on walking distance from the uni campus in Linköping. (I.e. half the town. I like walking after all.) )

Time for another year to end, and as has been usual lately I have problems making up my mind if it's been a good or a bad year. Anyway, happy new year to all of you!

Short and random list of Best of 2008 )

Also, a while ago, a surprise small package from Japan turned up, courtesy of [info]spherehunter who I am greatly indebted to now!

I could have gotten an Asuka in a nice aerobics outfit... )

This has been the first weekend in at least one month that I actually have felt somewhat free. "Free" of course being a relative thing. "Not incredibly stressed" is probably a more exact description. Oh well. And no matter which it is still a case of dark November having passed over into equally dark December and all I really want to do is sleep.

Spent the day - and a couple of days before that - doing family socializing things as a result of my aunt visiting. Today that among other things happened to include a countryside flea market visit.

The flea market aside, it was also a case of me revisiting the place where I once were at a school camp back in fifth or sixth grade. It's amazing how everything is bigger in size in your memory.

Random photos )

Apart from that stroll down memory lane the last couple of days have meant the usual summer activities with parents, aunt and sister's family, making me feel both content and alone-in-company at the same time.

Some days ago I was crisscrossing my hometown in lack of anything better to do (it was nice weather, and the transport connections unsynchronized as usual), so since [info]dzioo sort of asked for it, here's a pic post from the exotic (my apologies to the Swedish audience) east central Swedish city of Norrköping.

Heavy pic post behind this cut. You are hereby properly warned. And feel lucky, these are only about a third of the total amount of photos taken that day. )

It's Saturday, and it's been nice and sunny for the first time in more than a week, so I really had to go outside even if I had other things to do. So, after hunting camera motives over at the ongoing Horse Show without any real luck, I ended up taking a tour down memory lane instead. Which means I'm going to be totally self-centered for a while and make a random pic post. A very random one. As in "My school days in building pics" random. Image heavy and rather pointless. Feel free to skip.

On photo art
Great, when I for once run into a non-boring photo opportunity, I haven't got a camera with me. Oh well, not that the fox in question would have been caught in pixels anyway. Not with the speed he zipped off through the forest when he spotted me. But I still had wanted to try.

On anime
You know, it's hard taking the rabiate "I'm the total expert on this anime" people seriously when they seemingly don't even know the standard spelling for names and such. Please use either the exact kana transcription or the official latin spelling, no home-made variants inbetween if you want to be seen as anything like an "expert".

On "manga"
And I still don't know if I should laugh or cry when I see things like this.

I'm feeling better, but am still tired enough to waste some time writing pointless ficlet drabbles instead of doing something meaningful ^^;

Oh, and I really like the Deutsche Post for its nice, speedy service right now. I so needed this little thing to cheer myself up with ^^
Photo proof that I'm now a total GS fanboy )

But now for the sad, sub-angsty ficlet terror. Fear me when I'm tired. ^^

Look! I can write something else than Gundam SEED Asucaga! Thus, I give the world: Kanon Thoughts (Sokyuu no Fafner (a.k.a. Fafner in the Azure); rating: All ages; no real pairing, but could be called Kanon+Kazuki+Soushi+Maya; and yes, I find it funny making an insanely long cut text too )

Spent yesterday finally fetching the replacement for my old monitor, which stopped working in December, at the local "post office". A flat monitor isn't all that heavy, but after carrying a big box with stupid side handles a km or two on snowy roads, at least my muscles start to protest a little (on a side note I really must start working out more, but in this particular case it's probably more the static, I-must-not-loose-the-grip than actual lack of strength that makes my muscles start cramping).

Anyway, I'm now the happy owner of a brand new, very flat, big, and - at least this far - a very nice little Eizo monitor. ^___^ And soon I hope I'll stop feeling like I'm drowning in all the usable space, both onscreen and on my computer table.

Spending time looking for new wallpapers can be fun, by the way. (I had to, since suddenly none of the wallpapers on disk had the right proportions...) So for the time being, my desktop have a new look.

Screenie here )

Of course, with my newfound knowledge that a flat screen can look this good, my ancient laptop suddenly feels in an even greater need of a successor. But that will have to wait until May or June at earliest. ^_~
