Dream shows
I suppose I shouldn't be very surprised that I get unusually interesting dreams after having watched Paprika in the evening.

Actually, the dream that apparently was my main feature dream for the night was quite nice, so I'm not complaining. And I'm kind of impressed how my subconscious works - if you're my subconscious dream producer and need visuals and scenery for a distinct geographical area which you have no experience of in real life, take the geographically closest place I have been at and extrapolate from that. My mind is apparently a clever one when asleep.

As for Paprika, it was a somewhat surreal but good experience, and a good example of the kind of animated movies that only Japan can produce.

Paprika is GORGEUS. I can watch it milion times and it's never boring. did you notice that paprika is played by a certain Linaseiyuu? XDDD that killed me when I found out^^;

subconcious can be very helpfull sometimes, but also very scary, creating images that once, have no right to exist, two, are a medley of all your experiences. but sometimes, when you feel too tied down, you can dream of sky cities, underwater worlds or other surreal entities. Paprika sure helps waking up those desires. dreams are supposed to help you relax, that's sleeping's purpous. so I guess it worked for you^^

LOL! I should have remembered you said that, and still I didn't. Which meant I instead sat there wondering why her voice sounded so familiar to someone... XDDD I'm baaad ^^;

Actually this dream was very down-to-earth so I'm kind of surprised. After Paprika I could have expected something much more of the surreal technicolor variant XD But I suppose relaxing was what my subconscious determined I needed. ^^

naaah you're not XDDD I'm bad at keeping up with those records too^^; especially her, she's played like everywhere XDDD

well it's still YOUR subconscious so if you're down to earth, I guess it's expected to have a similar dream^^ not every "fantastic" dream is relaxing

Yes, her list is long, to say the least ^^; But I still think I ought to recognize her voice faster by now ><

I suppose you're right XDDD And maybe you know what you're speaking of from own experiences ^^ Dancing refrigerators and such things doesn't seem to be my mind's style XD It prefers "improved realities" instead.

as the attorney of your subconcious produced, I have to say that you're a difficult client. We also consider the fact that you need more muttonish dreams ^^p

My subconscious has its own attorney now? Great, one day I'm going to be sued by myself over something I'm sure... XD
Whaaat?! Me? Difficult client? ^^
I suppose counting sheep will never get the same meaning again... XDDD
Muttonish dreams sounds like bloody entertainment... You're wanting to preach the usefulness of mutton over the world now?

yep, the attorney certainly seem to speak for the client here...
Butcher?! I hope for eventual bed companion's sake that you're not sleepwalking during your dreams... XD

Gah. Paprika. So good. ♥ That is one of few movies, nowadays, than when I watch the whole thing, it feels like fifteen minutes has passed, tops. And I'll be surprised when I realize it is more like, one and a half hour.

I was a little suspicious of it in the beginning, I admit, but I soon changed. It's so nice to when you find movies like that, with real quality and being genuinely good! But it's unfortunately a rare thing to find. But I always have my unwatched Ghibli list left I suppose.

I keep thinking that Paprika is, to me at least, a perfect mix of entertainment and quality. There are so many quality films that are long-winded and slightly boring, and many entertainment movies that are honestly pretty crappy. Paprika, and most Ghibli movies, just so happens to be both entertaining and good. (AND visually stunning, at that.)
