Trying to think sunny thoughts
It is a special feeling when you can sit down outside in the sun and read, without having to wear a jacket. It's also very favourable for the book in question. In nice Spring weather everything get a little better. So right now I find the ".Hack//Legend of the Twilight" manga pretty good. I bought it on impulse this Wednesday, the main reason being the fact that it was on sale. Every time I visit the comics store I seem to end up with something extra. It's a law of nature, apparently. I went there to buy book three of "Megatokyo" and ended up with not only that one but also a volume of "Petshop of Horrors" and said .Hack book. The more economical part of my mind stopped me from buying a Hall of Fame book and the latest Spirou album, among other fun things. I guess that in a way it is a good thing the store is in the other end of the town. But this time I really needed something fun to cheer myself up with.

Now if only the snow could melt a little faster.

Ah, I sat outside and read today too. ^_^ It is a very nice feeling. The only thing that could've been better would be if the dogs could stop dropping slobbery sticks in my lap to throw all the time. ;)

There is nothing better than manga to cheer you up, no? I hope it did make you feel better.

And, there are new Spirou albums? I only own a few, old, very battered ones.

Manga usually does the trick, yes. So at least for the moment it's better. ^^

Yep, two new Spirou albums is available since a month or two. One is new for the world and with new authors, which is why I had to buy that one a while ago. The other is only new in Swedish I think. I actually stopped buying Spirou for a long period of time, so I only have the "classics", but now I got curious again. (And it irks me that I didn't bought the ones that came in Swedish in the 1990s, because they are impossible to get for normal prices now.)

(Only sticks? No tennis balls? They have a somewhat bigger goo-potential in my opinion. ^^)

New Spirou authors? Now I'm curious, how was it?

We confiscated the tennis balls early this spring as they were mouldy after lying buried on snow for five months. ^^;</p>

Good, but not brilliant, I would say. "Paris under vatten" (Paris sous-seine) by Morvan & Munuera is quite nice once you get used to the slightly new style of the characters. Story made for the 21st century, with environmentalism, be nice to the animals and (somewhat) high-tech robots as main themes. We even get a couple of pages with Spirou-angst! And for Parisians it must be even funnier with all nice city views and such things. Not to mention that it's kind of nice to read European comics as a change.

What, you don't want a slobbery, mouldy and well-chewed ball in your lap to play with? We humans sure are weird, and unable to appreciate the finer things in life, aren't we? ^^
